One of the passive-effect runes that puts its bearer in an alert state of mind in long battles. The Alert Rune automatically activates after three rounds of combat and then causes the Hyper/Alert status upon its bearer, which increases the effectivenes of spells by 50%.
Since only few battles take longer than three rounds to finish, the effective usefulness is often questionable. In long encounters, however, it can prove to be a valuable asset for mages, though at the cost of a precious rune slot.
In the Dunan region still a rare item, it is otherwise sold regularly in many shops around the world and thus is easily obtained. - Celes
