Sgt. Joe Info

Here is the translation of the section regarding Sergeant Joe in Shinsho Vol.12

Q. What is the reason for Sergeant Joe to be living away from his family?

A. At one time Sergeant Joe lived with his beautiful wife and two children, but a certain tragedy struck the household. It was the sudden sickness and the death of his eldest son. At that time, Sergeant Joe was out for a long term battle between the Grassland and the Zexen Federation. He was informed of his son's sickness, but he did not allow himself to leave a battlefield where the progress of the battle was unfavorable. For this reason, he was not present at his son's deathbed. His own decision to live as a warrior vs not being able to protect his important family even if it was out of his control. After much debate with his own feelings, he decided to live separately from his family. That was the only means which he could mend his own soul as well as his way to show the greatest consideration for his family.
