Runes Guide
There are several different types of runes within the game. All
characters have the ability to use any type of non-permanent rune.
Differing from the previous games, the character's MGC stat determines
the availability of their rune slot, and not their level. Every
character starts with their right hand slot open. At 60 MGC, the left
hand slot will open, and at 120 MGC, the head rune slot will open. The
MGC stat does not factor any boosts to magic coming from equipment,
such as the Magic Sandals. However, any boosts from Stones of Magic
will count.

Unite Spells
Certain Runes can link and perform a powerful runic unite spell. This spell involves two separate characters. Both of them must have a Level 4 spell to cast a Runic Unite.
Flame Array - Fire and Lightning - 2000 HP damage to target, 1000 HP damage to all others.
Thunder God - Lightning and Water - 1500 HP damage to one enemy, all allies revived and healed.
Water Dragon - Water and Wind - 900 HP damage to all foes, all allies revived and healed.
Fierce Wind Fangs - Wind and Earth - 1500 HP damage to all enemies
Scorched Earth - Earth and Fire - 1500 HP damage to all enemies
