Looking for summons in the world of Suikoden? The Blue Gate Rune (sometimes refered to as the Pale Gate Rune) calls beasts from other dimensions to fight by your side. It is the child of the mighty Gate Rune which came into play druing the events of Suikoden I. Starting with its successor you can attach this rune to your forehead and summon monsters comming out of a magical gate created by the runes power. Without being a true rune itself it has enormous magical powers and deals huge amounts of damage. Only characters capable of good magic skills will be able to attach the Blue Gate Rune. This is ensured by the required head slot. The rune cannot be attached to the hands under any circumstances.

Wherever the monsters come from is not really clarified. The spells vary during the runes appearance in the games II, III and V. Due to the fact they rely on different elements, you will achieve different results corresponding to the characters affinities for each spell. The fourth magic, Empty World, releases a beast that will even hit your own comrades, yet dealing great damage to all enemies nearby. Watching this rune is definitely worth a try.

You have to keep your eyes open if you want to get one of these crystals. They are allotted to several places in Dunan, the Grasslands and Falena. - Celes
