I don't know why, but that Dolph dude reminds me of Ted. Must be because of the hair color or the facial features. That's just me though.

i think the detail put into these characters surpasses all the past games in the series. the time spent on them really shows through.

Naturally. Especially since they decided to bring in several character designers in simultaneously.

Unlike Kawano or Ishikawa in thei respective games.

I really enjoy the character designs here, I think they might be the best yet. Some of my personal favorites are Lymsleia (she's adorable!), Sialeeds, Gizel Godwin, Zelease (Like Leknaat gone bad), and the Prince in his two alternate costumes (Tir-esque and the orange shirt)

Nope, they're both in the game and are both party members.
