Oh I'm talking about when you showed us the first installment and the prologue was all about Highland being an empire. So I guess this isn't the case anymore?727 wrote:This is set between Suikoden II and III. Highland was defeated when Riou and Jowy escaped, Shu is in charge of Dunan.
Please try the demo.

That prologue was about Suikoden II for people who didn't play Suikoden II. Overall, the game was too complex and I didn't have enough scenes to show it because VX only let you have 5 backgrounds. This time I have unlimited backgrounds and I'm just gonna assume you know about Suikoden and then fill in the clues as you continue to play the game. There's a major logical plot twist that fills in the gap between Suikoden II and III. Just try it, there's a new demo coming out this week and it's getting more popular on Facebook.

How much has the technology advanced? Have you troubled yourself to learn scripting, and how to properly utilize the tools at your disposal? Have you learned how to do your own artwork, or gathered a team of people with capabilities that complement your own? Have you taken writing lessons at the learning annex? If you haven't done any of that, then why not use one of the interactive novel tools instead? You seem to think writing is your strong suit; why spread yourself thin on level design, mapping, actor scripting, and so much more, when you can just write a book with some options and a simply scripted battle or two, and save headaches.
I'd have to agree that writing is your strongest point, but the most charitable way I can describe your style is "peculiar". I mentioned your use of antonyms and other oddities in your gamefaqs thread. Your characters also speak with a single voice, which I would guess is the one in the back of your head that whispers, "that's a super awesome thing to say!" Provided you find the right people to give editorial input, you could probably get an acceptable story together, though.
