[Guide] Sayid Ali of the Black Crystal Society

Post by KFCrispy »

Starting from Hishahn inside the Palace area, you can run into a man in green clothing who recognizes Nowa, Sayid Ali. Throughout the game, you may find him in various locations, and he'll reveal a little bit of information about himself each time.

Meeting Order
  1. Hishahn Palace - one of the few people walking around the Palace Grounds, he's hard to miss.
  2. Eastern end of Impershi'arc - east of of the inn, there is what looks like a busy road that also has a beigoma player hanging out. Walk along this road, and you can find him again.
  3. Castle Town - He will be walking back and forth in the hot spring area (NW area of town).
  4. Yarnaan - Find him on the 3rd floor, eastern path.
  5. Castle Town - Find him again in the hot spring area, and he will give you a Rune of Radiance.
  6. Skriss - He is just left of the entrance. You can speak with him twice. The first time, it sounds like he's talking to himself or another member of his Society about a mission. The second time you speak with him, he will acknowledge Nowa.
  7. Eltisweiss - After liberating Eltiweiss, you can meet him at the east end in front of Perielle's mansion.
POST-GAME: It seems like you can meet Sayid Ali back in his Castle Town spot to receive a Rune of Clairvoyance. This last meeting may require that you have met him a few times, but players have reported getting this meeting without finding him in Skriss and Eltisweiss.

Posting here to confirm that post-game gift is possible without ever seeing him in Skriss/Eltisweiss. I thought the sequence ended after he gave the Rune of Radiance.

In another world, he could have become a playable character. In some Suikoden titles, we've had characters that required us to talk to them in multiple locations, but alas ECHH doesn't have any. Would have been nice for Barnard to have a friend.
