Colour Intro (108 battles) information

Just ran my own test and when you see this:



You got
250 potch
You're currently holding
27450 potch

It means you've completed enough battles to see the colour intro. Since the amount of potch you get is the same for each battle it should work for everyone who heads north. If you head east you may require more.

It's easier than trying to count to 108 (or 120 as the FAQs suggest)

I'm good with numbers and love solving mysteries. Reading some of the other threads around here I may have my work cut out for me, but all in due time - I only found out about Suikoden a few days ago and just beat the first one for the first time last night!

There is an optional battle at the beginning. Did you count that in?

not a sticky because we put it in the tricks and tips section..... but once things fall off the forums it is definitely harder to notice.

I've been looking at all things like this: http://www.suikosource.com/games/gs2/secrets/ where it says 110-115

oh the page doesn't have the potch count, so we should definitely add it. it says "after 108 battles (go for 110+ to be sure)" which isn't necessary - so we can revise it to just say "after 108".. thanks!
