Unexplored countries, regions, and unplaced small locales.
Long lost in history, this nation once held the entire Southern Continent, which is now occupied by Falena, New Armes, and Nagarea. Its capital was near the center of present-day Falena, near Amdort Mountain. The kingdom held the Sun Rune, and was quite prosperous with its help.

However, one day, the Sun Rune caused the king to go completely insane, and he used it to level the entire land. Eventually the land was repopulated, and the Ancient Armes Dynasty peaks the interest of researchers. The ruins of the capital, however, lie in between Rainwall and Sol-Falena, and have been traversed by a few explorers.

This was the kingdom overthrown by Hikusaak and replaced by the Holy Kingdom of Harmonia.
This small island south of the Grasslands is ruled by the Black Dragon Clan with an iron fist under the rule of "Black Tortoise" Jinkai. The Black Dragon Clan is a clan of die-hard chefs in search of the ultimate recipe.
This is where the Free Knights of Camaro are based. Camus came from here. Nothing else is known about the area, except its somewhere in the vicinity of the Grasslands.
The never-seen Dukedom of Gaien is the largest area in the Island Nations. It owned Razril and Middleport, but in roughly IS 300, the nation lost Middleport. During the Island Liberation War, Razril was invaded and Gaien did not send any aid to help them. After the Kooluk were wiped out, Razril became independent.
Kanakan is a place that exists just south/southeast of Toran, which makes it likely a quite warm place. Most mentions of its name somehow involve its liquor, which is known to be in demand throughout the world. Also worth noting is some sort of fencing school ran by a 'Roundier Haia', who invented the Falcon style of fencing - this is where Anita and Valeria learned to fight. Lorelai came here looking for Sindar Ruins after Suikoden 2.
Katana is the nickname of a mysterious country, of which very little is known, not even its real name. Its chief exports include katanas and katana-wielding fighters, namely Genshu and Hazuki.
The first known occupier of the Dunan Region, with Southwindow as its capital. It existed for about 150 years before it was overthrown by an internal rebellion, eventually being replaced by the Jowston Alliance.
Located on the southern continent, Nagarea is south-southwest of Falena. It was founded by the Nagarist Order a long time ago, who united a group of small nations under its banner.

Nagarists believe that dragon-horses are foul creatures and must be cleansed from the world. This, combined with the new nation's thirst for power, Nagarea sent an 'armed missionary group' (army) into the area of the dragon-horse people, which is conveniently the closest area of Falena to Nagarea. However, a force consisting of both the fierce dragon-horse fighters, and the Falenan Queendom's Army repulsed the Nagareans.

In the year IS 376, the Great Earthquake destroyed the land route between Falena and Nagarea, and without an attack route, Nagarea has been relatively quiet for a long time. However, with the dissolution of the Nether's Gate in Falena in the early 440s, two of the leaders of the organization fled to Nagarea, and are rumored to have regrouped the organization under a new master.

The Nameless Lands is the name given to the nations that lie north of Zexen. Not much is known about this area, other than the fact that Boris Wizen attended an academy there, which suggests that sophisticated civilizations exist in the area.
Claiming to be the descendants of the Ancient Armes Dynasty which once ruled the lands of the Southern Continent, the New Armes Kingdom has established themselves as a challenger to Falena's dominance on the contininent. The nation's leadership is composed of five clans, which act almost as political parties. Different clans may hold varying levels of power depending on the Council of Chieftains.

New Armes invaded Falena following the death of the Falenan Queen, Falzrahm, in IS 441, hoping that the transitional period and weakened foe would be the perfect time to invade. However, they were repulsed by the maneuverings of the new Queen, Arshtat, her Commander, Ferid, and their strategist, Lucretia.

During the Sun Rune War, even though the king, Jalat, hailed from the moderate Ishvaak clan, the hardline Darja clan held great influence over the Southern Mountain Corps, and its leader, Maha Sparna, and were able to mount two invasions of Falena: The first involving a secret deal with the Barows family, the second involving a not-so-secret deal with the Godwin family, both with the promise of territory for Armes (and both unsuccessful). The second invasion was 'supported' by the Western Marine Corps, although its leader, Shula Valya, of the moderate Madras Clan, had no intention of fighting. In fact, his army was only there to keep an eye on the Southern Mountain Corps.

Upon the defeat and humiliation of the Southern Mountain Corps for the second time, Armes officially adopts a more friendly stance towards Falena (now under new leadership) and prosperous trade ensues, which had been the intention of many in power in Armes in the first place. King Jalat even encourages the chief Falenan reporter, Taylor, to expose corruption in the hardline clans.

In IS 230, a powerful aristocrat, Kranach "Knight of the Scarlet Moon" Rugner proclaimed independence from Harmonia during a civil war. The Scarlet Moon Empire was thus formed, and ruled the area for the next two centuries until Emperor Barbarossa Rugner was ousted by rebels in the Gate Rune Wars in IS 457. The area is currently ruled by the Toran Republic.

The most noticeable feature in Toran is Lake Toran, a saltwater lake connected directly to the ocean through a wide channel to the Northwest. The entire region is surrounded by tall mountains to all directions other than the Northwest, Northeast, and Southeast. However, the vast Karakas desert and the "badlands" lie Northwest, the great ocean to the Northeast, and the vast Moran Forest to the Southwest, which keeps this region relatively isolated. Toran is also known to have a native species of reptilian draft animals called "Gul-horses" which are often used in the cavalry of armies in Toran.

Merely meaning "lands to the south," this doesn't refer to a name of an area or a country, but instead just points to the "far south." Wakaba is said to be from a "community" of this region.
Tinto used to be a member of the Jowston Alliance, but decided to seek its own destiny after the Dunan Unification War. It has virtually no arable land, but generates tremendous income through mining. The Tinto mines also produce extremely rare gemstones called "Water Gems," which are necessary for various magical applications, such as the fabrication of rune crystals.

The Tinto Republic has been in conflict with Grassland tribes many times in the past, and continues its campain of aggression into the Grasslands.

Formerly the Scarlet Moon Empire, Emperor Barbarossa Rugner was ousted by rebels in the Gate Rune Wars in IS 457. The area is currently ruled by the Toran Republic.

Across the sea, west of Falena, lies a kingdom with only a few nuggets of information known about it, other than a suggestion of a militaristic culture. Its main export is its armor, which is known throughout the world. The Lindwurm Mercenary Brigade is also based here, and a small village here used to hide a cursed Beast Rune.
