THINGS I WANNA KNOW ABOUT FLIK Q and A
Q1: How did you decide on his outfit?
A1: At the beginning process of making Suikoden 1, there was an idea to have a nickname for every character and it was decided from then on that Flik's would be "Blue Lightning". We also had nicknames for established characters like "The Wanderer Viktor", "Night Fang Camille", "Master Warren" at the beginning stages.
Q2: Please tell me about his family.
A2: There is nothing established at this point. It seems like he doesn't have any brothers or sisters.
Q3: Was he an acquaintance of Hix and Tengaar originally?
A3: Since the Warrior's Village is not that big, and Tengaar was the mayor's daughter...to not know her seems quite impossible.
Q4: Is the house that Flik grew up in still located in the Warrior's Village?
A4: (Although it's never shown in the games) It must be there!
Q5: His trademark is his blue cape and bandanna. Is there a particular reason why it's all blue color coordinated?
A5: His favorite color.....maybe????
Q6: Did Flik have a master that taught him sword skills?
A6: The Warrior's Village is a descendent of the Holy Knight, Clift, so his sword skills are passed on through generations. Clift's sword skills were known to combine both magic and the sword, so training for both magic and sword skills takes place at the Warrior Village.
Q7: It seems like Viktor and Flik went off on an endless wandering journey together after the Dunan Unification War. In which direction did they head to?
A7: Since Viktor already fulfilled his objective and Flik doesn't feel like going back to the Warrior's Village, it seems that they both didn't have any particular place they were headed to. But since they both know that the only way they are going to have food on their plate is their sword skills, it seems inevitable that the place that they're headed is a battlefield.
