I'd like to see Yuber have a son, "Hey son lets go take over the world!", "Sure dad that would be great!", oh what great father son relationships...

Meg's father might be another one who is a good father.

Humphrey and Sgt. Joe are no blood farthers to Futch and Hugo, but defently are good farther figures.
Same goes for Riou's 'grandfarther'

But yeah bad dads are really common in Sui... hell Billy is a great example lol
oh c'mon, Teo tried to kill his own son because he put the Empire ahead of his family! he's never around so he simply had Gremio mommy Tir. i don't think he gets paid either :P, cuz Gremio felt indebted when he was saved by Teo. Teo's final "act of love" was to give Tir 2 more servants!!
Teo never even bothered to talk to Tir about what and why his son was defying the Empire. he was just like "boy, i'ma ride these armored dino-horsees and whup yo ass!"

i don't see how Sgt. Joe was a good father figure for Hugo. he was divorced to his wife and didn't seem to see his kids often. of course at the end of the story/game, he probably realizes that family and love is most important.

fathers letting their children go on their journeys when they are ready are fair. you shouldn't force them to go or not to go, that's what i think.

The Hugo's dad debate thing is really common. there is no official evidence who Hugo's father really is. i really wish i knew though. -.-

i think the "good fathers" dying cliche is popular in many other things besides games - like movies and tv. good storylines can grow for them. some common ones are - the dad dies, the son must take care of the family. another one, the father dies and a family member must take revenge on his killer.

I'm guessing the Hugo father debate revolves around Beecham/Beechum right? I don't believe it by the way.

It can't be Beecham, since Hugo's father must have black hair.

I wasn't arguing that, lol. I was just saying most people probably say that right?

eh...I don't think can be possible. Lucia didn't join the Highland Army until after Luca was dead and Jowy became king.

The blonde part of Hugo's hair comes from his mother, and the black part of his hair comes from his father.
