video game time limit?( if the time is maxed what happens?)

Post by hotspot »

you know how on some video games like suikoden, tell you how long you've been playing the game? like, it will say it in a small box like this[001:27:21].

one of my neighbors told me that his friend played a game for such a long time that the box where it said the time for how long he was playing ,didn't have any more room for the time EXAMPLE.[999:99:60]}, and the system just deleted the one save file, but my neighbor doesn't belive it ,i can't say i belive it or not either. does anyone know if this is true? can that really happen?

Dunno about any other games, but in FF7 I remember the numbers turned red and just continued to count upwards from 100. Had no other effect than that.

Nope, I think there's no such thing that will happen other than the time doesn't move.

I know a friend of mine used to borrow my Final Fantasy 3 (aka. VI) back in the SNES days and leave it on pause all the time. I got really ticked off at him and told him he'd melt my game. Anyway, his time maxed out at 99999.99 or something like that. It just stopped counting.
