West Palace question...(possible spoiler)

So, I have been looking around on these forums to try and find this, but I've had no luck. If this has already been addressed then I apologize. Anyways, I just beat the game, but I realized that I missed going to the west palace. So I loaded up my saved game and tried to get there, but I just can't figure out how. The west exit in Sol-Falena is closed. So....How do I get there??

Go to Stormfist. Exit, and head east. That should lead to the West Palace
