How did Suikosource find out about Assam?

How did Suikosource find out about Assam?

He's a pretty major character in Genso Suikoden Short Stories Vol. 1 Story 1. Does Assam appear anywhere other than there? Or I guess someone other than me also read the Short Stories.

He doesn't appear anywhere else. I have read all of the short stories, and that's mainly why there's an entry for Assam on suikosource.
