Okay here...

make an account at...

http://www.photobucket.com (it's free)

After you find the 80x80 (or smaller) pic of the avatar you want, upload it to your photobucket account (either first save the pic you want on your computer, then upload it, or just input the address of the pic in question, and it'll save onto your own account), then just put in the address of the pic from your photobukest account in your avatar setting. VERY easy.

I tried photobucket and they havent confirmed my email yet so I tried tinypic and they made a url for me ...but... when I try to upload the pic the profile page just reloads instead of giving me the verification screen, and no image is shown...

my problem is that when i try to click "submit" after putting in the url for my image, the screen just reloads all over again...

If the image is on your computer, then upload it from there.

There is an error in the 'bitmap data'- the image.
I tried hosting it on imageshack and photobucket, but it doesn't appear. I wanted to reduce the size and try again, but there's an error, that's why it doesn't work.

Do you remember where you got it from?
That might help.

maybe we should have a graphic art help, like setting up proper gif images (somthing about manually selecting your colors) sizing, making it look good, touchup, borders, text.
the works! yeah thats good.

I can make 80x80 pixal sizes in Photoshop, i used to do alot of dolphins in tis program.

as for anime. I need to steal piccies done by the pros (you know offical art)

Sure. It's a pretty simple process.

-Save the image.
-Go to http://www.imageshack.us
-Upload the image, then click on 'Host it'.
-You'll be given a few links. Go to the one which says "Direct link to image", copy, and then paste the URL, here.
-Read avatar rules and see whether they apply. (There is nothing wrong with this one, so it should work.)
