Second floor of the inn's blocked by a barrel

Once upon a time, I got a question from a player.

"The stairs to the second floor of the inn's blocked by a barrel. How are you supposed to get to the second floor?" they asked.

I'm sorry. The upstairs was actually deleted because a lack of memory made it too buggy, so we put a barrel there to seal it off.

Was there ever an inn like that? The only one I can recall is the item shop in the Great Forest.

Or did the person asking got things mixed up or did Murayama got it mixed up (since he seems to be recalling the question from memory)?

They may have conflated their memory of the inn with the cave in Toran Castle that gets blocked by some crates.

Might also be a translation issue. Like mistranslating the word "barrier" or "blockade"?
