Crying over video games?

Post by Sagiri »

Do you think its all right to do that?
I cried at the end of Suikoden Tactics, due to mr. giant fish and the end was just sad.
Was I just too sensitive?

I think you were a bit too sensitive, the end theme for all suikoden games have left a feeling for gamers, good or bad or feeling gutted. Though I have yet to play a game that has made me shed a few tears (Though I have played a few games that made me throw the controller due to fustration of poor gameplay and such)

However i played resident evil 3 and the ending was pretty depressing, (though the game I got was a copy and had a black and white screen option which made the game 10x more miserable)

I haven't finished it yet (Like most of the games I play. . .) BUT if it makes you feel any better, I'll cry too.

I cried (I don't know why) a few tears over FF VIII's ending. Even though I didn't understand a lot of it, but after the long boss-battle, it was a mixture of me getting attached to a love story and relief about the won battle.

I love FF8.

I saw the ending before I could finish it, and it was cute.

My eyes teared up a bit in Suikoden II when Jowy said his final goodbye to Pilika. That was sad :(

I can't recall any other specific times or games but I do know that my eyes watered for a few more.

Don't mind admitting I cried the first time I watched [OMG SPOILERZ] Aeris die when I was about 10. Never done it since though.

It's a measure of your emotional attachment to the characters, that's all. If something resonates with you in that way, you'll cry. I got pretty choked up from The Last Guardian trailer.

Shadow hearts did it for me. Both the 'bad' ending of the first, and the 'good' ending of covenant.

Discovering the "truth" behind Suikoden V's assassination stirred me quite a bit, the first time around.

I always crying for a good story movie. But never for a video game. Even if its has a moving story.

I think i never pay much attention to the story when i play the game.

I forgot about that. I teared up at that part as well.

I don't remember the good ending of SH: Covenant. I've been meaning to replay that... though it is annoying that I got the good ending in the first one but the second carries on as if the player got the bad one regardless. I think that is tear worthy.

Hmm I cry at Galleon's flashback. Every time. And I only beat Tactics once, so will it affect me, or not...?
