recruiting gordon and melville??

someone told me to get full of male characters party (no ducks or other animals) and talk to gordon then he will join but he didn't. why is that?? full male party isn't the way to recruit him?

When your in Viney Del Zexay early on in the game, make sure you
check out the southern area around the shops, you'll see some kids talking
and head into an alleyway. Go into the alley and then climb up the ladders
to reach the windows. Tell them the password that you overheard them saying
earlier and they'll let you in. from here on you'll go on a little sidequest
to the Northern Cavern where you will end up being defeated by Guillaume in
a duel. After the sidequest has ended, Alanis will move away.

Come back later in the game when you have Billy (Melvilles Father) and then
chat with Melville and he will join with Elliot.

i did see the scene of 3 kids talking together but after that i didn't know i was suppose to go to their backalley and talk. is it too late to get melville now? i m in chris chapter 3 .. i visited their backalley house but they weren't there now.. do i have to restart the game? >< ah i saw that cut scene with chris. melville cant be recruited as chris?

Full male party is not the way to get gordon. You can do it with Chris or Thomas. To do it with Thomas you have to have only Augustine in your party. To do it with Chris I think she just needs to talk to him.

ah thanks alot. anyone knows how to get melville with chris? :[ or am i too late and missed him for good?

First you have to recruit Billy. "Place an S statue (Hex Doll S, Knight Status S, etc.) in the statue room on the 2nd floor of Budehuc castle. Leave, re-enter, and win a game of Goppu with Billy. (Save first!)"

Billy will tell you about his kid. Goto Vinney Del Zexay and goto the hidden area where thier hideout is. There you recruit Melville and Elliot. Bring them to the Great Hollow. There you can recruit Alanis.

As for Gordon...yeah. Bring Augustine only.
