Chronological character recruitment guide?

I can't seem to find one, am I overlooking it?
I just recently started playing and really don't want to miss anyone, so a chronological guide would be a lot easier to follow. Or is the game simple enough that I shouldn't be able to miss anyone on my own? I just don't want to pass people up.

Many of the characters can be picked up later while others usually join you automatically. It's best to look at her list to see the characters you may miss. If this is your first time playing, you shouldn't even be reading a guide since it will just take away from the Suikoden experience. Otherwise, make sure you check the guide, other than that, the game's pretty simple to keep track of characters.

Once again, DO NOT LOOK AT THE GUIDE if you haven't beaten the game once, cause this guide contains certain spoilers.
