Oh yeah, they removed the "Don't give up!" system that has been in all the main games in one form or the other.
This time if you die you get back to the main menu and better hope you saved not too long ago.

Are the window settings also gone?patapi wrote:

Yeah, there's no "Don't give up". While the game is reasonably easy with the right setup, it'd advisable to avoid the Game Over screen since save points are rather a rarity in this game.
As for the Window Setting, they are in. You don't have to collect them though, as the character comes with 5 variations including the default.
Also, it's too bad that there won't be a New Game plus.

I have, and there is no New Game+ feature. It doesn't even have a cleared save at the end that I can think of.

Looks like its short. I guess its because there aren't mini-games and collectibles! ^_^SnowKing wrote:I have, and there is no New Game+ feature. It doesn't even have a cleared save at the end that I can think of.

Ditto here, I'm finally done with the game at close to 50 hours.
The ending is... indescribable.

I don't want spoilers, but is it bad, clichee, great, unexpected?Raww Le Klueze wrote:I've been thinking of how to describe it but... I just can't.patapi wrote:The ending is... indescribable.

Well, if I have to describe it in one word I'd probably go with retarded.Antimatzist wrote:I don't want spoilers, but is it bad, clichee, great, unexpected?

Don't know if it can be classified as spoiler... but is there any feature (like a private eye) that gives hints on optional stars ?

There aren't any private eye or Deborah-equivalent, AFAIK. Instead, you get access to most optional recruits either through non-Dispatch quests at Moana's place or exploring optional places that aren't featured in the main story, or both. So it works out nicely.
The 2D dungeon layout also leading them to use the same hidden path trick they used in Suikoden I's caves. Luckily there aren't any Crowley this time.

I wouldn't go as far as calling it names without giving it a fair chance after the localisation, but as of now, it was definitely a major letdown after the great build-up they established up to that point.Raww Le Klueze wrote:Well, if I have to describe it in one word I'd probably go with retarded.Antimatzist wrote:I don't want spoilers, but is it bad, clichee, great, unexpected?

I'm not sure if this has already been answered in here or not, or if it is considered a spoiler question. . .(and if it is, send me a message, I suppose)
But. . .
Could you explain something to me. . .
I saw this in game informer . . two days ago. (the December issue)
And it says:
"...resurrect the 104 fallen warriors and restore balance to the world. As you bring their souls back, you will determine the form they take; they could be new party member, special weapons, or monsters."
Ok, so. . umm. . .Huh?
