Playing DS on TV
Attention, technoligically-savvy people!
Is it possible (and if so, how?) to play Nintendo DS games on the big screen?
Personally I can't stand handheld consoles, but I'm too much of a Suikoden nerd to not sample Tierkreis.
Ta muchly.

Ready for a very unhelpful response?
Well, here it is: I don't think you can put the DS on a big screen for the sole reason that how would you make the touch screen work?

unhelpful response part2?
erm.. thats not an issue, for some stuff you actaully use the game device as the controller, like with zelda four swords so maybe i aint too sure about anything else though so dreadfully sorry! ^_^

Re: Playing DS on TV
It's a shame, really. I'd like to play it on the big screen as well. But it just doesn't seem possible.

Did they actually prove it wasn't possible? Because I'm pretty sure if your REALLY good with electronics and detached the top screen you could wire the wiring onto a TV's wiring and still use the touch screen on the DS.

If by possible, you don't mean the availability of a "tried-and-tested -- perhaps even officially licensed -- device to connect the DS to the TV", then I suppose it is possible if you are optimistic.

Re: Playing DS on TV
It would require great soldering and wiring skills to make the DS work on two separate screens while retaining touch screen support, but having to look at the screen in order to see what you're tapping already defeats the purpose of TV use.

Re: Playing DS on TV
I think if it were possible, the whole "touch screen" concept would not be included. And with that said, only games that doesn't force you to use the touch screen would be playable that way.
Maybe.
Maybe.

Well if all this is possible you could hook it up to a touch screen monitor...but how much fun and comfortable could it be if your sitting down and tapping something in front of your face, and how long till your arms get tired?

Re: Playing DS on TV
i'm sure if you're very tech-savvy, you can dig into the wiring and route the display signals to your tv, but you would still probably need something that can convert the signal so the tv would understand it. in other words, don't bother.
i do appreciate that the newer PSPs let you do it.
