Suikoden Tauntauns
I was just wondering whatever happened to the tauntaun things in the first game - the ones used for the Armored Cavalry. We haven't seen them since, having gone to the ubiquitous (but much less interesting) horse. I kinda miss them; that and I'm trying to figure out in what way would such critters be superior to horses - faster? More durable? Usable on more types of terrain? I sincerely doubt they could carry more.

Yes, they do.The Black Knight wrote:Dont the tauntaun things walk on 2 feet
I would have to agree with black that they are native to the area. For the same reason you don't see horses running around in Sahara and you don't see camels in the plains of Europe.
Different creatures are more adapable to different areas.

I think I remember reading at an older thread in the old SIS forums that the gul-horses (the name for the two-legged creatures in question) were from the Grasslands. Or maybe it was somewhere in the Scarlet Moon Empire, like the Senan region? I forgot...but I remember that thier names are gul-horses.

Well, I suppose that's why they're not rampaging up and down the continent I guess.SARSadmin wrote:The Gul-Horses are native to Toran, and are very fast, but are known to have little stamina, and are not suitable for very long campaigns, according to the Suikoden Encyclopedia.
And, yeah, Agremsep, those are the Gul-Horses.
