I've read that 70% of Senan is the Karakas desert, and that the Badlands are part of Senan. Since the Badlands have borders to Tinto and South Window regions, they can't be small either, so the area around Moravia, which we can explore in S1, is actually the smallest part of Senan, right?
It is said that South Window and Tinto conquered the north of Senan, so they conquered the Badlands and the Karakas desert. Wow! But what's the point in seizing unhospitable areas?
Moreover, it is said there's a wall separating the Karakas desert from the badlands. What's the point of that?! Whose idea was it to build a wall there? As Senan, you'd better build a wall between the habitable area in the south and the desert, to let enemy invaders be stuck in the desert; as Jowston you'd build a wall north of the badlands to let the enemy be stuck there. Am I missing something?

Re: Senan region
The leaders at the time probably felt they needed more land and wanted to attempt to make the land more hospitable for securing trade/travel routes, gather resources, developing new towns, etc
