I've started the New Game+,and now i'm at the point after defending Raftfleet,but i haven't recruited Sairoh yet....i've been checking rumors from the begining of the game,but i haven't found the rumor about the salt price yet...i even have 10 salts in my inventory...did i lost him? Because i remember in the previous game i recruited him,it was at the point after meeting Boz Wilde.

No, you haven't lost him. By the time he becomes a missable character, most other characters will also be unavailable for recruitment

The only one you should worry about is Killey, do get him away from the prison. And don't mess up with the dialogue choices. He's so hard to recruit

Step1) Buy 7 salts. Seven. Seven salts. Seven is the magic number. More is good but seven works perfectly
Step2) Talk to Sairoh. He's in Raftfleet. Don't talk to the trader there, don't start any stupid trade rumours. You don't need them to recruit Sairoh. Talk to Sairoh himself, and he might mention salt prices going up. If he doesn't then leave for about half an hour or so and talk to Sairoh again. Repeat this step until he mentions the price of salt going up
Step3) Sell all of the salt to the trader. Don't do anything else but sell the salt
Step4) Talk to Sairoh again

Actually i didn't have any problems recruiting Killey,i have let him go out from the prison,then i met him in HQ...and last,during the mission in the Twilight Ruins,i've just asked him to join and he accepted.

Btw,if you bring Killey with you at Ashtwal Ruins,you'll get an extra dialogue....

Hmm i see....i'll try buying 7 salts...hope it works

i would always get him with 6, whether firstplay or new game+
it was always random..whenever i finish a main/side mission, i stopped by
never really took too long

i think it just depends on how much profit you make from selling them.

Ok it worked this time with the 7 salts.


Although i think the most difficult character to recruit is Oboro. Because if you lose him,you will also lose his company and Nakula & Raven too,because those 2 in order to recruit them,you should have recruited Oboro first.


I lost him this time and i have to wait till Beaver's Lodge event

oboro isn't that difficult
just stick with the investigation all the way through

but the importance of oboro cannot be understated
you need to get him to get 6 SoD (oboro, shigure, fuyo, sagiri, nakula, raven)
i gots to have sagiri
one of my favorite characters..story-wise and battle-wise
i think she's the best long range attacker in the game

Well... not just that.

You have to also be nice and not make any smart ass comments during the investigation (such as not making fun of the mouse). I learned that the hard way.

i went through every possible dialogue arc
as long as i tagged along to the end, i got oboro
...weird
