[Guide] Unite item effects

Is there any knowledge on whether or not items and runes are in use during unites? e.g. Killer Rune, Down Rune, Poison Rune, other elemental weapon runes? Or is it just straight stats from the characters that give out damage?

the elemental runes and Fire Lizard Rune for sure don't affect unite and special attack damage. Exertion, Kindness, and Solitude will work because they directly modify the Attack stat.
i doubt the effect runes (Poison, Down, Sleep) have any effect either.

The Pretty Boy attack is Futch+Sasuke+Luc. It 1* damage to all enemies; All 3 become Unfriendly; Futch and Sasuke take 20% of damage. I have the Prima Official strategy guide for this game and that is what it says about the Pretty Boy Attack. KFcrispy was correct about the Effect runes not having anything to do with Unite Attacks. For example: I use the Cross Attack unite with Flick and Viktor alot! I have Down runes attached to their weapons and it does not increase the chances for Knockdown anymore than the original 30% chance of the unite!

Not sure where to post, but there are few mistakes there. Family ATK is 2x damage. 100 kobold attack causing both Gengen and Gabocha unbalanced (not sure if this chance or fixed but they got unbalanced when I'm trying it)
