You're right, I just checked. I gave Sheena exertion, but Killey has more ATK than him that's why I got confused. But I equipped Killey with Rage on his weapon
Actually, I even equipped all my party members with Kobold Burgers, dunno what I was thinking lol

lol,thats a power group.
I run around with a level 61 riou(bright shield,fury,double beat,exertion,power ring,winged boots,power gloves,wind hat,master garb) and a level 62 mcdohl(souleater,flowing,cyclone,friendship,speed ring,speed ring,winged boots,wind hat,master gard) and these two kill everything in their way.I sometimes change the cyclone rune for a double beat rune but usually,this is my default setup for the game:-)

btw,do anyone know,which non-optional characters can die in war battles?
I will start a minimum recruitment run soon,but if no character can die,I will play another challenge,maybe only a riou level 2 run.

no thanks,such power groups ruin the entire challenge and difficulty in this game,so I prefer solo or duo parties

I HATE(!!!!!!!!!!!!!) the leather cuts at mt. rakutei.I am trying since hours to get a fine bone china,but this damn drop never happens.

I tried every crazy "strategy":

since this is riou/mcdohl solo perfect run and futch and humphrey are forced members,this is just insane.and stallion is needed too,because the leather cut only shows up after countless battles against other monsters.

futch and humphrey in front row,riou and mc dohl behind them and stallion alone in front row with gale rune and fire lizard rune,so he acts first in the battle and kills himself IF he dont miss,but he misses almost everytime....fail

futch and humphrey and stallion in front row with firefly runes,riou and mc dohl behind,but still,the leather cuts allways attack the entire front row and they hit the two heros very hard,so I have to heal every 3-4 battle...fail

riou and mc dohl both with blue gate runes,3 attacks from empty world are possible(2 for mcdohl,one for riou),and the other characters die after each use of empty world.after 3 empty world,reset and load.this works best so far,but still,no fine bone china at all...fail

this is not funny anymore...

The game is only funny if you are playing it with someone, I used to play with my sister but now she doesn't even want to play suikoden series anymore coz we've been playing this suikoden 2 50 times already, but not complete. If you only count complete as in defeating Beast Rune, we've probably only completed 30 playthroughs of this game

And we never once managed to complete Clive's quest coz the FAQs don't even seem to cover it well enough

I watched his S2 speedrun from start to finish. It's quite entertaining that I just have to keep watching it

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed my run. If you want to watch runs of Suikoden I you can watch CVagts, he does both any% and 100% (108 stars) runs of S1. They're significantly faster than S2 runs (only ~4:30 for 100%). To my knowledge nobody has even attempted S3 or S4. There are times on the Japanese RTA wiki for S5 (15-18 hours) but I'm not crazy enough to attempt it.

After looking at the S2 recruitment guide on this site, I think only these characters that can come to mind. dunno if i'm wrong or not
Gengen, Huan(on L'Renouille), Luc, Viki, Klaus, Sheena, Gijimu, Kahn, Koyu Lo Wen, Pilika(I really hope she dies)

I wanted to mix this run with a riou Level 2 run too,but there is only one problem:the forced solo battle against Lucia...I am afraid,even with the stat Stone/rune trick for an "easy" win,I cannot avoid the experience points after this battle and this would screw the challenge up...

LOL, I can't even get Riou to die before Jowy so I gave up. Jowy always protects him like I said

riou can still die if the enemy counterattacks,by magic,or if the enemy attacks while his health is just above the critical mark so one hit will kill him if riou dont defends(in the very first battle in the game,this is the only way to win with jowy solo).a bit tricky,but possible:-)

unequip riou,and start the battle.lets say,he has max hp of 33.if it falls to 17 or 18 hp,stop defending and use your turn to take one item from your "backpack" into your inventory and PRAY,that the commander will hit riou.if he does,riou is dead:-)

EDIT:
you have 3 tries for this.after your 3th item,riou has no free inventory Slots anymore,so he must use a medicine on jowy every turn.he may never attack(kills the commander,fail) or defend(the commander wont kill you and you will be in critical health and jowys protection is triggered,fail).

Hey, one FAQ said that you just need to survive 5 turns
