Something curious in Neclord's castle

Post by Daeris »

Hey guys, did u remember that room with four coffins in Neclor's castle?
I discovered some time ago that, if you press next to the coffin on the superior left corner, your party is given the choice to rest inside. It's very useful when you face Neclord and you want to be in the best conditions.
I have read some guides and this detail didn't appear.

Hehe true true. Also after you defeat Neclord, Im not sure how many people know this one, If you go back to the last room with the piano and go down to the stain glass window in the middle and press x, you get a rage rune from a chest thats hidden by the window :D

Yeah, these "easter eggs" made things very interesting in Suikoden 1 and 2. Hopefully they will try something similar in Suikoden 5.

Why? I feel S4 has many, many new stuff! Maybe a mixture of S1&2 and S3 syles.

Such minor bonuses can go unnoticed for some time, especially if they are in time limited areas that you cannot return to for most of the game.

Take the potch found in one of the tubs of flowers outside windws in Kyaro, many people don't know that is there (including most walkthroughs) and as far as I know only came to light over a year after Suikoden II's release.

Until you've played the game repeatedly, and heard from others who have done the same, then we'll be in no better position to know if there are any minor bonuses like this; even then it is possible that everyone could miss something.

Oh no no no, Suikoden 4 sure does have it's share of "hidden" items stashed in places you wouldn't expect.

Maybe he has played the game.

Edit: This is S2 related...I wonder if anyone from the Silent Hill team made it to the suikoteam? That "Dahlia Gillespie" pot from greenhill gave me the chills.

yeah, I have finished the game about 3 times so far.

And although I havn't heard about the Silent Hill team lending it's member to the Suikoden 4 team, the Suikoden 4 team did borrow the graphics engine from the Silent Hill team. They modified it, but it sure does make a lot of difference in Suikoden 4.
