Emulator question

So I'm playing Suikoden on emulator and I was wondering if anybody tried to transfer the file to Suikoden II while playing on an emulator


Since I played Suikoden II a long time ago before playing I, I never tried this on a normal PSX

It works like a charm. I've done it. I've even hacked a name fix, and used a DexDrive to get that data onto a PS1 memory card and onto my PS2, but it doesn't carry over to Suikoden 3. His name is McDohl McDohl in Suikoden 3 no matter what. It's stupid.
