Suikoden 1 speedrun on Youtube

I found this Suikoden single-segment speedrun on Youtube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YVfoDXb_Bw

It's a really good time but I wonder about it, there seems to be an absurd amount of luck for a single-segment no-saving run. I was wondering what others think about it.

I often wondered about Speedruns in Suikoden. I don't have the time now to watch the full video, but that's pretty fast. I read about people with 108 stars doing the game in 6h or something.

Impressive, although...maybe I'm in the minority here, but Suikoden doesn't seem to be that kind of game. I don't think I'd have the heart to skip through all the dialogue like that. It's the best part!

It's not that you MUST play a game speedrun-like everytime you play it. I think it's nice to see someone up for the challenge.

Just watch the 20 minutes Ocarina of Time speedrun, that's just hilarious (it of course abuses an absurd amount of glitches).

Yeah, I understand you, I hate speeding through RPGs as well. Even though I often thought about trying a speedrun on the various Suikodens.... but as my computer lacks RAM, I cannot play the game AND film it simultanously, I guess.
