So, I want to somehow pay tribute to the Suikoden series (mainly for genso suikoden 1 & 2) but I'm not sure of what the best way to do so may be. Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. =]
It's not a huge thing, but when making my 'dream game' I can't thank everyone/everything which influenced decisions enough, but one way I thought of doing so is to pay tribute to things that have affected my life so far. One example is the infamous video of Daigo Vs Justin at evo. As a tribute to that particular event, the game will have an achievement like feature, where if you say defeat a miniboss with 1hp, you unlock an item etc and the achievement title 'Lets Go Justin!' It may not be amazing or special, but it's a way for me to thank/acknowledge/nod to the event & SF3.
Thus far, I am including a sauna/hot spring as a way of healing & of course as a tribute to suikoden, complete with various models (though they may not be the drum/jungle/marble) I was wandering if anyone has any other ideas which would be a nice way of paying tribute to the suikoden games. other ideas included putting minigames in there, drawing some of the Core NPCs to look familiar (blacksmith to appear like Mace / Tessai) being able to enter various houses and taste the stew etc
The game will be launching a kickstarter campaign soon & all support is greatly appreciated, like our FB page, share & help us make the game =]
