So, I compiled a list of everyone's war cry; for the most part these war cries are useless and you learn nothing interesting from them, so I wouldn't be surprised if you've exited this topic by now, but here it is organized in ABC order.
Note: I cannot seem to get Lucretia's, Raja's, or Lyon's war cries when their unit is down because they are pretty much always with the or are the "King" pieces, who never say their retreat war cries, even though I swear I've seen Lucretia's retreating war cry in one of my previous playthroughs. Either I really did witness it or I must be getting senile.
I also have not decided to label differently which is a war cry when they engage a unit, which is a retreat cry, and which is a death cry, because it should be bloody obvious which war cry is which. Except Ernst, that is, but he can't be put in charge of a unit, so keep in mind he only has a retreat and death cry.
Characters war cries will be organized like this:

I've also recorded comment box notes as a result of war deaths. They, like the war cries, are also pretty useless in that we don't learn much about the character that dies. Richard's death comments are not included because he hasn't been confirmed to be able to die as a result of a war battle.

Yes, characters do leave your headquarters if certain SoDs die. marina and Hazuki really do leave as a result of Belcoot's death, and Norma and Ernst leave if the other dies.
When they leave, they disappear from the tablet of stars as if you've never recruited them, which means their spot on the Tablet of Stars becomes vacant.
If Marina leaves, then you really don't have an innkeeper anymore, as in no NPC takes over her job. Actually, the innkeepers in Stormfist say something about Marina if she left your HQ as a result Belcoot's death; something about "Why doesn't Marina come back?" or something like that.
When they leave, they disappear from the tablet of stars as if you've never recruited them, which means their spot on the Tablet of Stars becomes vacant.
