[Guide] Strategy Battle units information

I noticed some units are custom-titled
ie: Dahak if it has the admiral, Prnt/Cld (Parent-Children) if it has kisara/logg and lun

o_O I heard the Wilhern (sp?) Cavalry also comes into effect if you use those people..

anyone out there know of a list of these custom-battle units :?:

Do these units do anything special or just have special names?

They seem to have increased damage.

Elves Archer: Isato, Urda
Bandit Infantry: Roy, Faylen, Faylon
Ballista: Babbage, Sorensen, Lu

As far as I am concerned beside a fancy name... not really except for the Ballista which uses the catapult.

Strangely tho... the Lindwurm cavalry is the best cavalry in the entire game... go figure.

well there is also The dragon horse cavalry , composed of dragonhorse soldiers but well it is kinda obvious but they are mostly useful against Ships but they can attack on land and water but damage wise the Lindwurm Cavalry with richard in it does way more damage.

Shula and his two bodyguards make an Armes Calvalry. Pretty much anyone comming from a similar group or area can make a name change. Even the three from the Island Nations together makes Island Nations unit.

The strength of the units is also dependant on who the person leading the unit is. I can post the list later this afternoon, but every leader has a rank of A, B, or C as to how good they are (the A's are Craig, Raja, Shula, and Willhelm) and I'll also list what they add to the unit too, and which slots they can fit in. Some, like Galleon and Georg, are just plain sick (+9 to defenese and attack, respectively).

please do WaterMoon, I'll just update the first post correspondingly.. I'm kinda stuck at the moment because I decided that I will finish the game without the 108 SoD just to get that ending.. I want to experience all the endings and so far I've seen all the bad endings.. I need to do the >108 SoD to see that ending so just because of that I won't be able to experiment with all the different units :P so yes, help is appreciated

The biggest stat boosters for army units are
Georg +9 attack and 1 charge
Richard +9 attack and 1 charge
Galleon +9 defense and 1 charge
Mathias +5 defense and 2 charge

Alright, here we go, long post. For ease of reference, I'll refer to the three slots they can fit in as Captain, Lieutenant, and Support, in that order. I'm going to list the character info in the following order: Name of character, available position (for captains/lieutenants or lieutenants/suport), skill level when captain, special ability granted to unit, and bonus granted to unit when used in the lieutenant slot. I won't divide these by unit types as I did above, as some of these characters can go into multiple types of units (Faylen can go into infantry or cavalry, for example). And remember that rune abilities (like Killey's rage) can only be added to rune archer and rune archer ship units, even if you can add the character to other units.

Two things I think that are worth mentioning:

Belcoot, Zegai, and Shoon in a unit together give you Gladiator Infantry/ Gladiator Comship.

And Shula, even thought doesn't have a special name, is a 5 star unit.

now that gladiator thingie makes me VERY anxious for my 2nd playthrough where i do go out and collect all 108 SoD :P thank you for the info, updating main post now
