loading a saved game?

is there any menu-driven way of loading a save? or do i have to constantly reset the game boot up etc etc

yea, i feel that this is the one glaring mistake they made

the main problem is they put so many options/choices/interactions in, and yet no way to conveniently load saved games except to completely reset the ps2
