I figured id create a propper thread for us to discuss our plans for the investigations

KF crispy said that he can help us, he just needs to figure some stuff out with Kornholio

so now all we need is someone designated to compile the guide

Jowy has already said that he is no longer a guide writer. Unless a guide writer wants to accept the position of compiling the investigations, then I would take it upon myself to do so, however, even though I trust my spelling and grammar skills, can't you tell from my eloquent post - I id, I kid, I am not very knowledgable in the HTML department so I'd probably require assistance with that.

The guide is not a walkthrough, I should hope that anyone with an ounce of common sense would be able to put the information from the investigations into a cohesive and easy to understand guide that would show them what is revealed in the investigations.

In short, I'm saying that anyone who has volunteered to partake in this should be able to write a decent guide pertaining to these investigations. I mean, the translators have done most of the writing for us. There's very little that any of us would have to write. We aren't writing down how to recruit characters, we aren't writing down where all the treasure in the game is at, we're writing down investigations and investigations only. Unless these investigations involve the aforementioned subjects, then don't worry about it son_michael. You're thinking a little too much about the subject.

yes writing the investigations down is easy, im not worried about that....I just wanna know who's actually going to compile all the investigations we write together

you mentioned HTML , I dont know anything about that, if I write investigations it would be in microsoft word or wordpad and then I figure I would send my stuff to someone who can compile it together and he/she would send it to someone that can add it to the site

anyway im not worried, im just trying to get a full understanding of whats going on

Well the best way way this can be accomplished with the least amount of strain and stress for everyone would be on a volunteer basis. What I propose is that we have each volunteer responsible for posting 2 or 3 investigations each. (or more if so needed) This way everyone can get involved and compile some interesting information. We could then have one of the mods or such to convert it all to HTML. I have little knowledge of HTML but if required I could ask the creator of my FFXI board for some basic HTML tutorials. Of course I would prefer leaving that to the professionals.

As for the spelling and grammar Taleria, I don't think we should worry about it that much, If we take our time when copying the investigations down, the spelling damage will be kept to a minimum. Finally posting them in a thread would also have the added benefit of spellcheck by various individuals. Perhaps someone may pick up an error in your work and therefore we could edit it before it gets transfered to HTML.

Edit: As for the selection process, (characterwise) we could open up a sign-up thread where someone commits to one of the characters in-game while someone commits to another.

I'll do the ones assigned to me no matter who they are, but the list should be re-done or deleted to reflect new helpers. I'm fairly confident that twelve people will sign up, so we might as well wait for 'em. If twelve people don't sign up by, say, the Friday after next, just divvy the list up between us. There's no rush, considering that the PAL region won't be getting this game for quite some time.
