you're not the one who created the code so you can't be certain of its effect. I used the CB code Max Accuracy in my stats effect test, and notice that it also pumps MGC to 999. I don't mean Accuracy = Magic but my point is : unwanted side effect of the impure code.
You never know the code exp you used would affect anything else or not, wait... you're experiencing it now.
