Elemental rings: what does "Element X atttack +1" mean
They dont raise magic affinities so whats the deal?

they don't change the overall affinity, but they raise the offensive affinity--spells and Sword of Magic will have the boosted "attack" affinity.
only equipment that boosts the complete affinity raises the grade.... if you equip two different pieces of equipment, one that boosts the attack side and one that boosts the defense side of the element, the grade doesn't bump up in the stats screen, but they're both definitely working.
