I put him into my entourage, and started level grinding my other peeps right now (in mines en route to prison), and just noticed he's no longer in my entourage. Do I have to recruit him each time I put him in entourage/remove from party?

Unless there was some plot event that emptied your party out you shouldn't randomly lose anyone, including the doremi elves.

actually that's impossible... (the dissapearance of doremi elves).. once you recruit doremi elves (remifa, fasola, latido, mifaso, solati) they will be always there...
