I'm up to the part of the game where you are meant to move on to Leclar. Apparently you're meant to go outside the castle to activate the scene but it doesn't seem to. Could this be because I have Zunda in my party and I need to go to the window and befriend her before I can move on?
Which leads me to my second question..Does Zunda being in the party affect the ability to recruit Takamu? I've been to the prison with Leilei, Cius, and a free slot in my party but I can't find him anywhere. Is there a way of getting to Lunas without recruiting Takamu?

You don't have to make everything a big problem. Just try to take a nap at the castle Inn and Zunda will ask you a question and choose the one that depicts her to be kicked outta your party. Din't worry, she isn't missable.
Urda can take you to Lunas as well.
