1. The thing is we don't know for sure that its the same Jeanne - in fact there is equally as much evidence that they are all different people that look identical and have the same name.

there is no rune of punishment transfer animation, hence why konami decided to change it for the suikoden tactics version, lazlo can not die in suikoden tactics

about jeane: im very sure that jeane in suikoden tactics is the same as the 1 in 4, after the war, she probably decided to go live in kooluk

about viki: at the end of suikoden 4 viki teleports away, since suikoden tactics mainly takes place after suikoden 4, its a great thing that she's not in this game because it stays consistent with the overall story of viki

characters being able to actually die in fights is just a gameplay thing. characters in every Suikoden game can permanently die, but the only real deaths are scripted deaths. Jeane can die in almost every Suikoden game, but she is always available and is recorded in history books to take part in almost every major war.
