exp gained question

in order to get an S rank exp gained is factored in. This i know. The question is, is that just a total number of exp gained or is it an average?

I.e. If i only get like 15 exp or something for a few turns because of using a healing item, or terain change, will that hurt my rating or not?

im curious because if it is an average, then sometimes near the end when im moving around i dont know if its better to change the terrain to my element for the element bonus or not since that usually by then only gives piddly exp

He's well aware of that. He was asking whether it's total or average exp that's factored in.

Anyway, I'm going to have to get back to you on that one. I'm wondering the same thing.
