I couldn't get past the book at the beginning of the game

I downloaded it from the internet and played it on emulator but once the book opens, the music keeps on playing and never stops while nothing shows in the book

Didn't manage to use it but I managed to skip past the book opening by setting the emulator to skip FMVs and enabling cheats

I almost got game over against the furballs on Razril, Andarc soloed most of them coz Kyril died on the first turn
Now Andarc is the strongest
