Sigurd & Hervey or Dario & Nalleo?

i think Hervey + Sigurd gives you more value early game. Hervey is a generic body who can ride Kangacorns, which makes him pretty useful even if you just want to swap someone else in. On the other hand, Sigurd is a top-tier character who can dramatically change your strategy--Eagle Rune + Kangacorn + element-swapping + magic sword, wow....

Nalleo is good and I would compare him to Kika in terms of movement and damage. he's way better leveled up, since his stat growth goes crazy for late levels, but you won't be able to see that side of him until later, so might as well get Sigurd first. Dario, however, is practically deadweight due to his low SPD. They do have a really good unite, but after you spent your time and resources getting them together for the unite, you'll usually find that Dario simply can't keep up to do much else.

I notice also that Sigurd defense is high also I done the quest guild that involves 70 defense early and I reach it just equipping all the items that have a high defense to him.

Nalleo and Dario are axe users.They are more usefull with the goss rune.

I always let the game decide. So if I arrive at the pirates' nest on a day when Sigurd and Hervey are there, so be it.

Sigurd and Hervey do offer more versatility. They can use mounts, and sigurd is a long range fighter, whereas Dario and Nalleo are basically the same character with different elemental/magic stats (Nalleo is clearly the better fighter between them) but their co-op attack is pretty damn awesome. And Nalleo was only a supporting role in S4, so it was nice to see him getting into the action and evolving into a little badass.

Whoever I get first because it depends on the day. But I prefer Sigurd and Hervey. Both are my favorite characters. They are basically the Viktor and Flik of IV.
