He's probably referring to what Arshetat said during the trailer. She called herself the avatar of the sun.

But the Tir and Teo battle doesnt really count, when you're talking in terms of ending in duels.

I think its stupid, every Suikoden, the final boss is some big rune monster...>_>

I - Golden Hydra
II - Silver Wolf
III - Wind Rincar bird beast of some sort
IV - Giant Tree
3/4 were reincarnations, either a duel or fight with a rincar seems possible. Throw in a Pentathlon or some kind of event. Have the hero fight some beast (rincar, tree, etc.) giving him access to enter the event. Making the 1st place prize a True Rune. This event could be the final battle instead of I-IV boss fights. Random idea for a final bought.

Yes, I am definitely wondering how a creature like a Phoneix would exist, and if its existence somehow ties in with the True Sun Rune. Well, I'm glad that someone else is making these connections besides myself.
