or like someone else stated a flail would be cool or even nunchucks too.

That'd be cool if they had a three-pronged spear like Gau in S3.

the HVG thing wouldn't work, maybe as a big side battle to gain alliance but not as the main character, and the main character has to have some relation to a well known NPC, wether it be son, adopted son, or son seperated at birth?

as for a weapon i would like to see Katars but as they are deadly and the suikoseries where the games have deadly weapons never seems to be as much a hit, i would say maybe a unique staff, different from all others...

how about bare hands? like pahn, but he has more strength, pride, and moves, or maybe gloves with barbaric rune attached to it. i guess very short range weapon will make tenkai star become more deadly (but no muscular body)

a 2-handed sword/axe/hammer etc. would be cool

i imagine someone wielding a big 2-handed weapon would be older and have a stronger build - something i'd like to see in a future tenkai. although if rita can wield a 2h hammer i guess a 16 year old anorexic kid could too.

I like that idea too, since i have a fondness for 2-H's( and it was my favorite childhood weapon since I was about 11-12 when they were showing Rorouni Kenshin on CT NETWORK).

But then everybody would be whinig, " WAAAAH!! THEYRE COPYING CLOUD WAHHHHH!!! NO ORIGIONALITY WAAAAAHHHH!! THEY LET US DOWN WAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! HE SUCKS LIKE GREMIO(who actually does seem like a cool/useful character to me) WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"

And I'm not about to spend the next 2 years on Suikosource hearing that fanboy/fangirl - disapointment bullshit! If you know what I mean?

i don't think there would be too many cloud comparisons this far after final fantasy VII...but thats just me.

plus they could just do a 2-handed hammer and avoid them completely.

I'm just saying that's one of the first things, some would complain about. Since the 2H is basically a FF7 trademark now like the Meteor, and the Masamune.

I garuntee you if Konami had a character with a Masamune, a lot of Suikoden fans would complain about it being a copy of Sephiroth.....but thats just me
