Giant Tree

Post by Twin Dragon »

Okay in Every Suikoden Games the final boss is manifestation of a true rune.

I was wondering how does the giant tree got anything to do with RoP or the plot of S4?

hmm, I may be mistaken, but I think the Giant Tree was what made Rune Cannons. I might be wrong, because it has been centuries since I've played Suikoden IV

Yeah, i hate how they break the tradition of having True Rune creatures as final bosses and the surroundings being dark with a glowing True Rune as your floor.

At my first gameplay, i had no idea wtf is the tree doing in the game until i read it somewhere in this site.

They (Elenor, etc.) should have mentioned more about the tree..

The tree was the source of the ammunition for the rune cannons. Cray had it because Warlock sold it to Kooluk and Cray was using it to make ammunition for his ginormous rune cannon. Warlock is the one who originally summoned the tree from another dimension.

This is also how Yohn (goat chick from Tactics) ended up in "our" dimension.

Warlock also summoned the eye fish, the final boss in tactics, another none True Rune final boss

is it possible that the giant tree is a true rune?

True Cannon Rune?? lol

no seriously. is it undeniably not connected to a true rune?

i mean with that much power in them one might deduce that the Tree may be an embodiment of a True Rune from a different dimension

impossible?

So, the Rune of Punishment isn't a True Rune , then? Since that is the True Rune that the war centered around.

Chris you missed his point

the suikoden wars did quite evolve around True Runes

note Runes

Protagonist's true rune, enemy's true rune, or pieces of a true rune divided to both parties

in Chris' line of thinking

yes the story evolved about the Rune of Punishment

and we're discussing if its possible that the rune cannons which stemmed from the Giant Tree are also associated with True Runes

as Runemaster said
Suikoden wars are all about true runes..
The Giant Tree is the single flaw in the entire pattern of True Runes (enemy-wise)

So what? Quite a good idea to break the rule, I think. The tree is from another dimension and the offspring of all Rune Cannons. And that's it.

Level up in the training room and hopefully that'll make up for the duller weapons.

You need at least one wizard in our team. I suggest Ted or Maxine.
