Ditto, though I don't suggest this if you're the one driving.
What do you think red lights are for? They were designed to accomadate Suikoden video gamers so that they could learn how to run really fast in their game. That's why you have to make sure the Suikoden series continues, otherwise, bam! no more red lights.

To be honest I noticed this as soon as it was available on my first playthrough ( Cedric gives you the super-fast version ). How did I find it? Not from the manual certainly, I just knew there was the ability to run from the previous games and it was in basically the same place ( shoulder key ) as the previous games.

I have to say it surprised me the first time it happened though.

Yeah but some people may not have known that you could use the shoulder buttons to confirm/cancel/run in the first two games (dunno about III, never played it) and just used O to run all the time.

hmm....Ill have to check that out in all the previous games! thanks stallion!

yes lemmy, I had always used circle in suikoden 2 but suikoden 3 I always just used regular d pad since you can set your on screen character to run without having to hold anything

That shoulder button L2 makes you run the L1 talks to people and it also selects. You could play Suikoden 1,2,3 one handed if you wanted to.

I hope you're not referring to the main menu. You can use L1 and the dpad to select new game or continue.

Nope, I knew that aswell. I mean the inventory menu. Only way to access that is through pressing square.

The friendly but often neglected "select" button opens the menu (at least in Suikoden 1). Very reachable by all except the extremely short-thumbed.

Oh well. Turns out you can play them one-handed after all.
