People who blame Suikoden 4 for the death of the franchise

according to vgchartz.com, worldwide sales of suikoden 3, even without an EU release, were highest of the entire suikoden series. Afterwards sales regressed and ultimately collapsed.

vgchartz are the worst sales tracker available.

I mean vgchartz has to be bad, because they list over 200k sales in Europe! I really wonder ow people can still use vgchartz, it's ok for a rough estimat, but not more (and by rough estimate I mean: are the sales 10k or 1 Million).

I can't find the total Japanese sales for SUikoden IV (even though I had them some days ago!).. argh. But they weren't much worse than III, abozt 40k less or so.

Magicbox's numbers for japan are as following:

Suikoden 2: 159,908
Suikoden 3: 377,729 (+136% sales)
Suikoden 4: 303,069 (-20% sales)

Suikoden 5: 194,780 (-36% sales)
