Does the ship speed up after recruiting Cedric?

does anyone know/remember? i know R1 makes the ship go a lot faster than using the d-pad, but does Cedric (Godspeed Rune) boost the speed further?

My brain says yes but I'm not sure... I know palmguy s planning to replay it though, so you could ask him to check.

I'm replaying (fresh, not new game+). Cedric is currently my support. The ship is not fast. My dash on the field is faster though, of course.

Cedric being in your direct party as support -- your R1 makes you run even FASTER.

Cedric just being recruited-- your ship goes only as fast as the R1 originally allowed it.

I run faster even without him being in my party. Unknown about ship though.

you run absurdly fast period in this game, but cedric does make you faster. He has no effect on the ship however.

I don't believe that putting Cedric in support makes us run faster

Yeah, it doesn't. Recruiting him does though.

I'm not sure what effect it has on the ship. It always seemed like it went faster, but you get the big ship right after getting him and it may just go faster on it's own.
