How to get the Bad Ending in Obel?

I check the walkthrough in suikosource and the cheats in GameFAQs it said you need to choose the 2nd option trice when you are given an option to use the Rune of Punishment. I pick the 2nd option trice and the choices just keep repeating.

It never existed, tried over 20 times and still couldn't see it

Are you thinking of the event where the burning ships are about to crash into the HQ? (after battle where you liberate Obel) If you refuse to use the rune 3 times here, then you get a bad ending/ game over.

If you refuse to use the rune during the Kooluk attack against Obel early on in the game (when Lino and his men are fighting the soldiers) then it doesn't give any alternative ending, it just keeps repeating the same options until you use the rune.
