What is a list topic exactly? I did not see anything about it in the board rules.
And if its against the board rules, why not just delete my post instead of locking it?

As the forum deals with information rather than opinion, types of question not wanted here include "versus" style questions; such as, "Who is better Riou or Jowy?" or survey style questions, for instance, "Who is your favourite character?"
We lock the topic instead of deleting it, so that others would come across it when using the Search function prior to posting a similar topic in the future. Which in turn would remind them that it's against the rules and not repeat it.
It would also let you know of why it's locked, instead of having your posts disappearing from the board without any explanation.
